Obituary of Roseann Louise Whipple

Roseann "Rosy" Louise Whipple, age 73, of Elko New Market, MN, was a caring mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. With profound sadness, we announce that she passed away suddenly August 6th, 2021, on the East Bank of the Mississippi River at Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.

Roseann was born on October 5th, 1947, in Waseca, MN, to Melford and Ruth (Frodl) Moe. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James (Joanne) Moe, and her sister, Joyce Woelfel. She is survived by her two children: Terry (Heidi) Johnson and Bill Johnson, her only grandchild, Emma Johnson. Roseann also had a large extended family and many close friends who loved her and will miss her dearly.

Roseann spent fifty years of her life assuring quality at Roberts Automatic Products (Chanhassen, MN) and even more making sure the people she loved were taken care of. She was an avid gardener, classic country and polka music enthusiast, and always loved a random road trip or adventure, especially when it was out to either Branson or Tennessee. She enjoyed finding a good garage sale, and she really hated peas.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Elko New Market, followed by a celebration of life at the Doublewide Event Level at 2:00 pm. Please bring any photos and fun stories you may have of Rosy to share, as well as songs in mind to play on the jukebox that will always remind you of her.
