Obituary of Larry Dale
Larry Dale of Maple Grove, MN, passed away August 24, 2021 at the age of 64.
Larry was one of six children born to Allan and Peggy Dale in Robbinsdale, MN. Larry graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1975 where he was co-captain of the wrestling team his senior year. Following graduation Larry enlisted in the Army Reserves obtaining the rank of staff sergeant. Larry spent his career as a machinist retiring from General Mills in 2015.
Some of his hobbies over the years included playing cards, softball and bowling in various leagues. He spent many years coaching his sons baseball teams. Larry was a longtime member of the Minneapolis Elks 44.
Larry was an avid outdoorsman and his favorite place to be was up North at his property near Remer, MN. He loved fishing, hunting in the fall and four-wheeling. Most recently Larry loved having his grandchildren join him up North where he took them fishing, swimming and riding the trails through the woods. Larry was so happy that his kids and grandkids loved spending time up North just as much as he did. Larry was a dedicated family man and loved spending quality time with his family and his many close friends.
Larry was preceded in death by parents, Allan and Peggy Dale and brothers, Bill and Brad Dale.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 42 years, Rhonda; children, Jackie, Justin, and Michael; grandchildren, Parker, Lauryn, and Levi; siblings, Don (Maria), Kathy (Steve) Zegar, and Pat; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
