Lois Ann (Leach) Kress dies at 69

After several months of illness, Lois Ann Kress passed away in her home Sunday, August 15th, surrounded by family.

Friends and family remember Lois as a sweet and fun-loving person, a longtime resident of Maple Grove, MN who work for 40+ years at the phone company and most recently at a Hy-Vee store, where she loved meeting and talking to her customers.

Lois was born on May 19, 1952 in Sioux City, IA to parents, Richard Leach and Lois (Oleson) Leach.

When Lois was 12, her family relocated to Des Moines, IA where she grew up and attended and graduated from Des Moines Lincoln High School.

After graduating high school Lois served in the US Air Force.

Following her service in the Air Force, Lois met Michael Kress and they were married on July 1, 1970. They have been married for 51 years.

Lois most enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and pet animals.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings Richard, William, Susan, and Michael.

Lois is survived by husband Michael; children Bobbi and Timothea; siblings Dan, Robert, Carol, Tim, and Joanne; three grandchildred and one great-grandchild, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be on September 11, 2021, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.
