Obituary of William James Fontaine
William James Fontaine passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 12, 2021 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bill was born May 9, 1955 to Theodore and Dorothy Fontaine in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bill graduated from Duluth Central in 1973. He worked at St. Luke’s, Ace Amusement, Twin Ports Amusement, and Midwest Coin Concepts. Bill was an amazing husband, father, papa, brother, uncle and poet at heart. He had the best sense of humor, loved storytelling, fishing, his Vikings, food and drinks on the deck surrounded by his beautiful gardens, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Deedre, his children, Deanna (Jesse) Gregorich, Jonathan (Leslie), Christine Jacobs, Neil (Carrie), and his grandchildren, Cameron, Kennedy, Sicily, Cooper, Owen, and Parker. He is also survived by his siblings Linda (Rod) Czerniak, Mark, Debbie, and Lori (Skip) Siegle. I can see you, can you see me?
Visitation 2pm, service 3pm on Wednesday, August 18th at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth.
