Obituary of Jack R. Jackson

John R. Jackson, 87, of Duluth died Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in Heritage Haven Assisted Living Home. John was born September 13, 1933 to Harry and Ingrid (Wicklund) Jackson. He graduated from Clover Valley High School in 1951. John was in the Army from 1954-1956, stationed in Japan. He returned home to Normanna Township where he spent most of his life. John worked in the electrical construction field on power lines and was a life member of IBEW #242. He enjoyed fishing at his island on the Whiteface, hunting at his cabin north of Duluth, and his fishing trips to Alaska and Canada. John was a talented wood worker and carver. He made diamond willow chairs for family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Beatrice (Cab) Thibault.

He is survived by his brothers, George (Bev) Jackson and Bob (Marcy) Jackson; nephews, Joe (Kathy) Thibault, Steve (Nancy) Thibault and Peter (Angie) Thibault; nieces, Kathy (Dan) Croke, Terry (Terry) Carl, Kay (Dennis) Clark, Sandy Lian, Denese (Brian) Kopnick, Susan (Jon) Aubart, Beth (Dave) McCuskey, Debra (Les) Jackson, Kelly (Todd) Foster, Kate Jackson, Jill Jackson and many other family and friends.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Minnesota Duluth
