Obituary of Karin G. (Stone) Kupczynski

Karin G. (Stone) Kupczynski, 92 of Lakewood Twp Duluth, MN passed peacefully on Thursday July 22. Karin was born on December 22, 1928, along with her twin sister.

She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1947, then went on to DBU and worked for Oliver Iron Mining. Karin married Chuck in 1954 and built their home in Lakewood. Karin was a wonderful loving mother and a caregiver for many relatives and neighbors. She was never alone, as her twin was always with her, even dressing alike for 92 years. She was an amazing cook and always had a 6qt. pot or roaster simmering for an “army”. She was involved in many clubs, was a proud Finn and lived her life with the Sisu!

Karin was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kupczynski; parents, Arthur and Alina Stone; brother Eugene Stone; and sister, Marion Dahl. Karin is survived by her son, Kevin Kupczynski; daughter Kara (Mark) Pavlisich; grandchildren, Kalina Pavlisich (Caleb Hamp-Sill), Charles Pavlisich; and twin sister Carmen Arnold.

The family will have a private service.
