Obituary of Carl A Sjodin

Carl A. Sjodin, 73, of Esko MN, passed away on July 12th 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on April 24th 1948 to Carl E. and Evelyn Sjodin.

Carl attended Proctor High School. He later married Ardy Erickson. He worked for Midway Oil Company for several years and later retired from Cub Foods.

Many hobbies Carl enjoyed included football, swim team, and track in his high school days. He continued enjoying trap shooting throughout adulthood.

Survived by wife Ardy Erickson Sjodin; brother Pete (Jan) Sjodin; sister Elsie (Diane Beecher) Sjodin; children Julie (Tim Christianson) Coccie, Adam Sjodin; stepchildren Richard Boe (Jenna) Wiitala, Jenny Wiitala, Joy Wiitala, Luke (Becky) Wiitala; granddaughter Kristine (Matt); step-grandchildren Erza, Emma, Haley, Dylan, Chloe, Zack, Ava, Zeke, and Wyatt; many brothers and sisters in laws; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by first wife Josephine Kolojeski Sjodin; and parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 24th at 4:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Proctor.
