Mary Rose Haugen

Age 71, died at home July 14, 2021, welcomed in Heaven by Jesus alongside her parents, Kenneth and Arlene, and beloved friend, Pat.  Graduated from St. Agnes Catholic School in St. Paul, Minnesota, married Stan, and welcomed four children.  Mary retired from the State of Minnesota in 2015.  Loved and survived by her husband Stan; children, Andy (Jeanette), Becky (Kirk), Mike, Kristen (Tim); her 10 grandchildren; sisters, Lynore and Sue (Rick); brother-in-law, Dale (Cindy); and many friends.  Visiting her family and friends,  traveling, eating at a variety of restaurants, playing cards with Stan, getting her haircut, shopping, watching movies recommended by her grandkids, celebrating Christmas, and especially selecting special presents to celebrate birthdays brought joy to her life.  While death is an expected part of our lives, it is nonetheless sudden and leaves a void in our hearts and lives.  Mary would like you to remember her when you hear “Amazing Grace” especially played on bagpipes, and James Brown, “I Feel Good (I Got You)”.   

A Celebration of Mary’s life will be held 2-6 pm on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota - St. Paul (1979 Old Hudson Road,  St. Paul, MN  55119, 651-212-4040).  In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
