Obituary of Barbara A Comeau

Barbara A. Comeau, 76, of Duluth, passed away on Sunday, May 9^th at Essentia St. Mary’s. Barb was born August 10, 1944 to parents Chester and Emily Kangas.  After graduating from Central High School in 1962, Barb went on to train and work as a lab tech for the Duluth Clinic.  Her career then took her to the Women’s Health Center and she retired after 32 years of service.

She married Chuck Comeau in 1965.  They had been married 52 years at the time of his death in 2017.  In addition to her husband, Barb was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Russell and Marvin.  She is survived by sisters, Judy Whittaker of Indianapolis and Mary (Mike) Murray of Duluth; niece and nephews and their children.

The family requests that memorials be made in the form of contributions to the Hope Fore Tomorrow Charity in honor of Barb.  (www.hopeforetomorrow.org) HFTC helps kids with seizures reach their potential .  Barb was a loyal supporter.  Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Minnesota Duluth.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 pm until the 3:00 p.m. memorial service , Friday, July 16^th at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel.
