Obituary of Ralph Thomas Nelson

DULUTH, MN - Ralph Thomas Nelson, a member of the Leech Lake Band of Minnesota Chippewa, walked on February 20, 2020, at his home. He was a Vietnam veteran, beloved father, and a skilled artist who loved to joke, read, fish, and paint. He studied art at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, and lives on in his artwork.

He is survived by his ex-wife Cheryl Newman-Edberg and his children Simon Benjamin Nelson, and Winona Mae Nelson.

A memorial with military honors will be held at 2pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota on June 26, 2021.
