Obituary of Paul Jorgensen

“I lived a good life.”

Paul Jorgensen, 69, of Proctor/Midway Township died on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Essentia Heath Hospital from pulmonary fibrosis, with his family by his side. 

He was born on July 25, 1951 in Cloquet, MN to Paul and Garnet Jorgensen. He graduated from Proctor High School and enlisted in the army, serving in the Vietnam War. With honorable discharge, he returned home and began working for the DM&IR railroad, retiring in 2006. 

Paulie was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Dick Johnson, Roger Johnson, and Randy Jorgensen. He is survived by his sisters, Violet (Jerry) Morse of Oregon, Betsey Morse (Ken Poferl) of Duluth, niece Colleen Blomquist, nephew Chris Morse, great nieces/nephews Jordan, Dane, Chelsea, Hannah, Shelby, and many other nieces/nephews. 

A graveside burial will be held on June 26, 2021 at 1pm at Oneota Cemetery. A celebration of life at Mr. D’s Bar & Grill will follow.
