Obituary of Raymond A. Boggess
Raymond A Boggess also known as Bogey passed away peacefully August 31, 2020 from a brain tumor known as Glioblastoma. He was born January 3, 1947, the son of Neil W. Boggess and Betty J. {Boggess} Johnson.
Ray worked for the BNSF railroad for over 30 years and retiring 2007. He was a person whom enjoyed life and was liked by all that knew him. He was so kind and he loved people. If someone was in need of help he would be there to lend a hand.
Ray met his wife of 48 years in 1970 and was united in marriage in 1972. He was the best husband, best friend and soul mate. In his younger years he loved bowling, playing pool, going out dancing, playing cards, Rummy Royal, and loved fishing and camping for many years.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Grandparents, step father Richard {Ole} Johnson, and special friend David Engen.
He is survived by his wife Beverly; sister Cathy J (Jim) Josephson Duluth, MN; step brother Rick (Michele) Johnson Grand Rapids, MN; step sisters Lynn (Dave) Hart of Cross, MN, Dori (Tim) McFarland of Oklahoma City, OK; Uncle Sam Yepma of Maple, WI; sister-in-laws Jodi Thielman and Karen Thielman; and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A special Thank You to Dr. Mast, Dr. Dahlin, Dr. Silva Benedict, Dr. Redmon, Dr. Bonin, Veterans, Hospice of St Lukes, our special neighbors, and longtime friend Tom Beetcher, Upwards Transportation, Twin Ports Health Services, and anyone else who had given their support at our time of need.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Billings Parks Park at Gazebo number 2 on June 26, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please dress causal.
