After retiring from the leadership position, Director Lin has always actively supported the work in the office. When the product encounters overall performance problems, we often asks Lin to put out the fire. Lin always boldly put forward his own opinions. His insight is always recognized and praised by the shipowner. Lin was sincere and approachable, and left a deep impression on everyone. 林主任从领导岗位退下来以后，对室里的工作一直是积极支持的，当产品遇到总体性能方面的问题时，常常请老林出面救火，老林总是大胆提出自己的意见，他的真知灼见总是得到船东的认可和赞扬。老林待人诚恳，平易近人，也给大家留下了深刻的印象。

In 1965, Zhao Weimin was assigned to the Sixth Division, the first time I met Chief Lin, I knew he was young, talented and had a promising future. At that time, the Sixth Division had Lian Gan. 1958 Jiaotong University Son Fuzhong. 1961, Huang Zirong, Zhu Naizhong in 62, Xu Shouqin in 64. And Xu Yuhe, the eldest sister, were all leading the outstanding academic careers under Lin’s leadership. Lian’s passing means the end of an era of our organization, and Lin's passing is also the end of an era of our division 3. Now that Han Ming and Shen Zhiping are old enough to retire, time flies. So much emotion! 我赵慰民65年分到六科总体，第一面见林科长就觉的年轻有为，当时六总有有练淦，58年交大孫复中，61年黄子荣，62年朱乃忠，64年徐寿钦，还有老大姐徐玉鹤等一辈优秀学长都在他的领导下是见林的才能！练的去世意味708所一个时代的结束，林的去世同样是八三室一个时代告一段落。现在韩明，沈志平都到退休年龄了，足见光阴如水，时不待人。感慨万千！

He was the sports minister in the college and a party member in the college. I got a lot of help from her when I was in the division, she is my big sister. (I am a few years younger than her). I got Lin Zhongqiang's help in the division, which can be said to be the most. During the Cultural Revolution, Lin Zhongqiang was originally required to travel to participate in the third-line plant selection work of the Sixth Machine Ministry. Your father can't go away because of the movement. As a result, I was temporarily arranged to go. At that time, I had not worked on a product independently. The difficulty is great. Later, Lin Zhongqiang gave me special counseling and introduced the principles of floating dock design. Later, after returning to the division on a business trip, the division was offered another floating dock project with the same performance. Later, I started the design of the floating dock. In this process, I have been counseled by Lin. So that I can complete the entire design. In the end, I was lucky to get the award. In addition, the overall performance software compiled by Lin. Our colleagues in the division have also been using this software, which is very suitable for our engineering ships. (The appearance of engineering ships and conventional ships are quite different). When I was re-employed by the division and after I was hired to Zhenhua Heavy Industry, I have been using this software. Even when I encountered a problem in Zhenhua, I asked Lin in the United States for advice, and he was always enthusiastic to help me answer it. What he didn't expect was that he passed away so quickly and went to heaven. I was shocked to learn that the old leader Lin Zhongqiang passed away! He is the first batch of recognized technical leaders, backbones, academic leaders, and outstanding talents in the early days of the organization; he is my old leader, a fellow Fujianese, mentor, and colleague; he has advanced knowledge, solid foundation, and quick thinking. He is outstanding and tireless in teaching; he is versatile, humorous and optimistic; he is willing to help others, is a good example for others, and has outstanding popularity... What reminds me the most is that my eldest child is sick. He took the holiday to visit me in the dormitory on Longchang Road with his wife during his busy schedule. His strengths are too numerous to list! It's a pity that he got sick too early, and he is still stubbornly optimistic to face it! But the fate is hard to stay, unfortunately, the immortal passed away! Remember this, and mourn for it! I wish him a good journey! Rest in heaven! I mourn the death of our old leader and director Lin Zhongqiang! For a long time, Lin Zhongqiang has made many pioneering contributions in the research and model design of the laboratory’s engineering ships and the field of ocean engineering. His is a pioneer. He has made many pioneering contributions in the design of the laboratory’s products. Unexpected technical problems he never avoided, but he tackles them. I remember that in the design of the ore barge project of Nanjing Minmetals Co., Ltd. undertaken by our office in the early 1990s, the speed index requirements were high and it could not meet the requirements for a while. Under his careful guidance, through repeated molding line modifications and model tests, the problem was finally solved. It was successfully resolved; the sudden vibration problem during the trial voyage of the 2000-square trailing suction vessel made by the Yangtze River Waterway Bureau, although he was no longer in the division at this time, he actively participated in the call and put forward suggestions for improvement, and in cooperation with the concerted efforts of Professor Jin of Jiaotong University, this big problem affecting ship delivery was finally solved. In the early stage of the design of the Dongxiu 911 product that I undertook, I also received his careful guidance, so that the ship's speed trial was also satisfied once. As mentioned by Shen Zhiping, the ship profile design software developed by Director Lin is especially suitable for the application of our office in engineering ship design. I remember that two years after he retired and left the room, he perfected the software and gave us the newly revised version in time without reservation. In the 1970s and 1980s, Europe, Norway and other countries led the way in the development of offshore platform oil technology. Lin Zhongqiang was again entrusted by the organization and went to Norway for further studies, laying an important technical pavement for our institute's marine development. May Director Lin Zhongqiang take the road to heaven all the way! 沉痛悼念我们的老领导，好学长林仲强主任逝世! 长期以来林仲强同志在所室工程船以及海洋工程领域的研究和型号设计等方面做出了许多开拓性的贡献，一方面由于他的身先士卒，埋头苦干，同时对所室产品设计中出现的种种不期而遇的技木难题也从不回避，想方设法予以解决。记得九十年代初，我室承接的南京五礦公司礦砂驳项目设计中，航速指标要求高，一时无法满足要求，后在他的悉心指导下，通过反复型线修改和模型试验，终于使问题得到圆满解决；在长江航道局首制2000方耙吸船试航中突发振动问题，他虽然此时已不在三室，接到电话仍积极参予进来，提出了不少改进的意见和建议，配合交大金教授等协同努力，终于使这个影响交船的大难题再次得以解决。在本人承担的东修911产品设计初期，也得到他的悉心指导，致使该船航速试航中也一次性得到满足。正如沈志平所述，林主任开发的船舶型线设计软件，尤其适合我室在工程船舶设计方面的应用。记得在他退休离室两年以后，又对该软件做了更加精益的修改，並毫无保留地将新修订的版本及时给了我们。上世纪七、八十年代，欧洲挪威等国在海洋平台石油开釆技术上一路领先，林仲强同志再次受院所重托、前往挪威进修，为我所海洋开发做了重要的技术铺垫。愿林仲强主任天堂的路一路走好! 愿其家属（林菡，林柟姐妹及家小）节哀顺变!

After staying in Email contact Lao Lin for several years, and speaking occasionally on the phone, I told him that Lao Guo had built a group of 7,083, and he readily agreed to participate. Then, because of his ill health, the connection was broken. Lin has always been quite optimistic, but he didn't expect to leave so early. May Lin rest in peace in heaven! 以非常沉痛的心情悼念老林仙逝。前几年与老林一直保持着Email 联系，偶尔也通通电话，后来与他开通微信联系后，我告诉他老郭建了个7083群，他欣然答应了参加。后来因为他身体欠佳，联系逐渐中断了。老林一直比较乐观的，没有想到这么早就走了，非常惋惜。愿老林一路走好天堂安息！

I thought I'd be able to contact Lin for advice. Mr. Lin left us a valuable technological legacy and his ship's overall performance software, which was only programmed with QBASIC, is still in use today. I've been telling young people how to use his program. Especially, Lin's marine multi-functional and multi-condition propulsion calculation program has unique engineering design function, beyond the conventional design methods of textbooks and other propulsion performance design software, is the aggregation of his deep and rich professional experience. By using Lao Lin's software, not only can professional and technical personnel deepen the understanding of the theoretical knowledge learned in school, but also be more conducive to the application in complex engineering design. I remember Lin's previous affirmation of my drawing skills, an encouragement that inspired me to professionally grow a young employee! In memory of Lin 之前还想又能联系上老林作请教交流。老林给我们留下了宝贵的技术财富，他编制的船舶总体性能软件至今我们还在使用中，尽管那时的软件只是使用了QBASIC编程。至今我还一直在指点年轻人如何使用老林的程序。尤其是老林编制的船舶多功能、多工况推进计算程序，具有独特的工程设计功能，超越了教科书的常规设计方法和其它的推进性能设计软件，是他精深、丰富的专业经验的凝聚。通过使用老林的软件，不仅能使专业技术人员加深对在学校学习的理论知识的理解，更有助于应用于复杂的工程设计中。也还记得老林以前对我绘图技能的肯定，这种鼓励激励我一个年轻员工在专业上的成长！在此深切悼念、缅怀老林！
