Obituary of Lorn Wesley Hauge

Lorn Wesley Hauge, 92, of Duluth, MN, passed away on June 6, 2021 at Golden Oaks in Proctor, MN.  Lorn was born on December 11, 1928, in Walhalla, ND, to Rudolph and Eva (Ritchotte) Hauge, where he attended schools until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.

Lorn and his first wife, Delores, were married 26 years and moved to Duluth, MN, where they raised their seven children, Diane (Michael) Cochran, L. Dean Hauge, Jerry (Linda) Hauge, Cathleen (Todd d.) O’Bey, Linda (Kevin) Ekholm, Nancy (Matthew) Cuypers, John (Brenda) Hauge, 23 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 27 great-great grandchildren. 

In 1976, Lorn married Aloha (Morrison) in Duluth, MN, and helped raise her seven children, grandchildren and very special great-great grandchild, Josie, who was the light of “papa’s” life.  Lorn enjoyed gardening, reading, woodworking and watching the wildlife.  He was an incredibly kind, gentle man.

He was preceded in death by Aloha (Morrison) Hauge.

Per Lorn’s wishes, there will be no service or reception.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the staff of St. Croix Hospice and Golden Oaks in Proctor for their excellent care and compassion.
