Obituary of Dwight Allen West

Dwight was born December 29, 1954 in Minneapolis and passed away on May 22, 2021 at M Fairview Southdale hospital. He was raised in Mound, MN, until moving to Minneapolis in 1984.

Dwight was a 34 year employee of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and Local 70 until his retirement in 2017. Dwight’s favorite times were at his home in Webster, Wisconsin.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, mother Del West, mother in law Joan Laugen, sister in law Jackie, daughter Tara (Ron), son Michael (Nancy), daughter Kelsey. Grandchildren Ethan, Dustin, Carlina, Promise, Sheena, Rylan, Lillian, Emilia, Luca.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvern, brothers Darrell, Roger, and Robert, stepfather Larry, father in law Richard.

A celebration of Dwight’s life will take place at a later date.
