Obituary of Patricia Ann Magoris

Patricia Ann Magoris, age 69, died peacefully on May 22, 2021 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital with her daughter and husband at her side.

Patty was born in Minneapolis and lived on Grand Ave for most of her adult years. She was proud to be an OB/GYN nurse before taking a reprieve to do in-home daycare after adopting her daughter, Kristin. She later continued her nursing career until retirement in 2013.

Patty was married for 27 years to her first husband Greg Magoris then shared her last 16 years with her current husband, Bob Ballenger. They moved permanently to Hinckley, MN in 2015 where they enjoyed their final years together in the country.

Patty lived a full life with friends and family who loved her dearly. She will always be remembered for her generous hospitality, endless offerings of snacks and baked goods and her love for dice and card games. She enjoyed gardening, shopping and crime shows.

She is preceded in death by her parents Cyril and Rita Koch, brother Duane Koch, and nephews Bradley and Brian Koch.  Patty is survived by her husband, Bob Ballenger, daughter Kristin Magoris, sister Sharon Koch, sister Carol (Gene) Paulson, brother John (Paula) Koch, nieces and nephew and wonderful friends whom she adored. Many thanks to her bowling girls and best friend for over 45 years, Cherri Herman, who supported her over the recent years of her illness.

Services will be held at Cremation Society of Minnesota on Friday June 4, 2021.

Visitation at 5pm. Service at 6pm.
