Obituary of Grace Louise Fisher

Grace L. Fisher, age 77, of Becker passed away May 12th, 2021.

Grace was born August 8th, 1943 in Clevland, Ohio to Ruth and Allen Anderson.

She graduated from Rockford High School. Grace married Colin Fisher on June 24th, 1961. They settled in the Becker/Foley area to raise their family. Grace returned to school after having 5 children to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as a nurse at the Foley Nursing Home for many years. Grace left her nursing career for 5 years to drive truck over the road with her husband, Colin. Grace then returned to her nursing career, working at Lakeview Care Center and Monticello Nursing Home. Grace was a caring wife and mother, who enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, cooking and entertaining with family and friends, going to the casino, and garage sales. Grace had a very special relationship with her dog, Nikel, who was her companion her last years of life.

She is survived by her children, Kelly (Justine) Fisher, Patrick (Jody) Fisher, Allison (Bob) Brockway, Tim (Milissa) Fisher, and Tracy (Mike) Welsh; and many beautiful grand- and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Colin Fisher; parents Ruth and Allen Anderson; sister, June Dohrwardt; and an infant son.

Due to COVID, combined funeral services for Grace and Colin Fisher will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Becker Baptist Church for immediate family only. The service will also be livestreamed for friends and family who would like to observe. (beckerbaptist.org) Burial will take place immediately following the service at Elmwood Cemetery in Rockford, MN. 

Memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s.
