Pelletier, Richard "Rick"

Following a sudden cardiac arrest at the end of March and complications during recovery, Rick Pelletier passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 1, 2021 at the age of 56. A devoted husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Rick was preceded in death by his father Donald Pelletier Jr. He will be greatly missed by his wife Drea, children Vanessa (Kris), Becca, and Alex, granddaughter Jacaranda, mother Kay, siblings Dan (Juli), Randy (Nancy), Rob (Julie), Tesa (Paul), Jason, Scott (Erin), & Chris (Sarah) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Undoubtedly this crazy clan is what kept him in Minnesota for most of his life, despite his annual rants about how miserable the winters are. Rick will be affectionately remembered for his keen wit, sarcastic sense of humor, immense generosity and kindness, and his dedication to family. He was a phenomenal husband, an exceptional parent, a lifelong tournament bass fisherman, and a brilliant business leader. Rick would be pissed to be remembered by people wearing uncomfortable formal clothes during a somber service. He preferred to wear shorts every day, so to honor the warm, funny, stubborn, and witty man that he was, a casual celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 23rd at The Landing - 2187 County Rd 101, Shakopee, MN 55379 from 3-8pm with a brief remembrance program at 6:00.
