Obituary of Norma Jean Nagle
Nagle, Norma "Jean" 86, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2021 at Saint Therese at Oxbow in Brooklyn Park, MN, with her family by her side. Jean was born on January 10, 1935 in Galena, Illinois to parents Karl and Marita Metzger. She was a proud graduate of St. Anthony Nursing School in Rockford, Illinois and spent her lifelong career as a nurse caring for others. Following her retirement, she traveled the world and was active in the church. She was an avid movie buff, jigsaw puzzle aficionado, and a charismatic performer in singing groups. She loved spending time with friends and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A loving Matriarch, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Irl Nagle. She is survived by daughters Karla Karstens (Sandy), Jill Parpart (Keith) and Linda Johnson (Trent); grandchildren Bethany (Sam) and Will Karstens, Joe (Brittni) and Ben Parpart, Blake (Lauren), Grant (Cameron) and Nolan (Courtney) Johnson, and her great grandchildren, "The Littles," Emma, Jon, Oliver and Kepler. Also survived by brothers Thomas "Toby" (Judy) and Dr. Robert (Carol) Metzger; sisters-in-law Nancy, Claire, and Phyllis Nagle; many nieces, nephews, God-children, and other relatives. Jean will be remembered by all for her vivacious love of life, infectious personality, and ability to make fast friends with anyone she met.
