Michael (Mike) John Niedermaier

68 of West St. Paul, died Thursday, April 22nd from cancer. Survived by wife Catherine (nee Mitch), sons Ben (Erin) and Matt (Katrina Peterson), and daughter Amy (Drew) Meyer. Grandchildren Mira, Lexi, and Everett. Sisters Nadine, Mary (Steve) Balcerzak, Julie (Chris) Campbell, brothers Tom (Jackie) and David (Nancy). Sister-in-law Maureen Mitch (Gary Peterson). Many nieces and nephews.

Mike was an all-around great guy who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Honest, dependable, hard-working, and always thinking of others. Kindhearted with a wry sense of humor, Mike was a loyal friend to many, and a terrific husband and father. His passion for fishing was passed on to his family, and Mike was most at peace while chopping wood with his friends.

A private prayer service will be held on May 14th at St. Stevens Lutheran Church in West St. Paul at 11am. Service will be viewable through church’s Facebook live feed. Gathering to follow. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Saint Therese at St. Odilia hospice in Shoreview.
