My sincere condolences for your unexpected and untimely loss of John. He has a very tender soul and a sincere and curious interest in others and a wonderful sense of humor. His skills as a mathematician and educator were very impressive. I met him at University of Minnesota as an undergraduate and kept in loose contact over the years.
