Obituary of Ruben Martinez

Ruben Martinez, 76 of Wyoming Minnesota, passed away on April 22, 2021 due to complications of kidney and coronary heart disease.

Formally from the Westside of Saint Paul, Ruben played football at Humboldt High School, was part of the 1961 Championship team, he graduated in 1962. He would go on to marry his high school sweetheart Cheryl in 1967.

Ruben worked at Electro-Plating for 20+years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.

Ruben is preceded in death by his parents John and Innocentia Martinez, brothers Daniel, John Jr, Paul, and Chon. Sisters Angie and Rosa. Ex-wife of 46 years Cheryl Martinez.

Ruben is survived by his son Ruben J. Martinez, daughters Dawn M. Martinez and Vanessa A. Reyes (Robert). Grandchildren; Christian, Jaelyn, Roman, Porsha, Elondo, Alexis (Sharif Musevi), Joshua, and Elizabeth. Great-Grand Daughter Milana Musevi. Brother David (Darlene) Martinez and sister Ellen (Burt) Hanson and many nieces and nephews.
