Simone Poppelaars

Age 92 of Boerne, TX, passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2021 in the care of her loving husband.  Simone was born in Antwerp, Belgium and married Antoine “Tony" Poppelaars in 1953.  They started their life together in Toronto, Canada and immigrated to Minneapolis, MN in 1956.  Together they built a successful custom home building business.  She was blessed with a wonderful life and others were blessed with having known her.  Survived by her loving husband of 67 years: Tony, daughters; Linda Poppelaars (Bruce Fein), Cathy Mitchell (Stephen), and son; Dan (Carrie), nine grandchildren, one great granddaughter, and her brother Roger Aelterman (Sonia) in Belgium.  In these unique times, while we can’t gather, please share a toast in memory of Simone’s life. Funeral in TX pending. Private interment in MN. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Simone’s life can make a donation in her name to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
