Obituary of Charles Cano

 

Charles "Chuck" Cano passed away on April 8th, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Chuck was born December 30th, 1958, to Alfonso and Natalie Cano in Los Angeles, California. He was raised in Culver City, California, with ten brothers and sisters. As a youth, Chuck had a love for surfing, baseball, the beach, cars, and listening to Motown music. He was lovingly viewed as the class clown and would do anything to make people laugh.  He moved to Minneapolis in the 1980s and worked his way up from a janitor to a top salesman at Cedric’s and Neiman Marcus. He was an incredibly hard worker and charismatic, winning numerous awards along with making many friends. He clothed many celebrities including, Prince. His greatest loves in life were his 7 children and 3 grandchildren whom he adored. He loved watching them grow up and spending time with them. He would be the first to post on social media all of their greatest accomplishments. Chuck will forever be known as a wonderful salesman, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Chuck is preceded in death by his father Alfonso, mother Natalie, and brothers Jerry, Michael, and David. He is survived by his children, Charles (Rocky), Anthony, Jordan, Madeline, Natalie, Michael, and Jack; grandchildren, Hudson, Alonzo, and Araina; sisters, Eileen, Nadine, Cathy; brothers Al, Mark, Chris, and Skipper, and many nieces and nephews.
