Obituary of Marjorie Carolyn Peterson

Marjorie Carolyn Block Peterson, born November 9, 1931 to John and Margaret Block in Pipestone, Minnesota. 

Marge grew up in Pipestone, Minnesota. She initially attended college at St. Paul Bible College and graduated from Bethel College in 1957. 

Marge started her career as a social worker, to include employment at Lutheran Social Services working with adoption placement and later joined her husband in their mental health clinics, as a therapist. She met Dale Peterson while volunteering with youth in Hi-C Christian Clubs, they married on June 21, 1965 and have 4 children. They were active in ministry, enjoyed singing and playing music together and opened their home to many individuals throughout the years.

Marjorie leaves a legacy of love. Her love language was cooking and baking for everyone who entered her home. For all those who have been touched by her love, may we pick up the torch, get to work and spread this kindness and love to others.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Dale Peterson. She is survived by her children, Merrilee Peterson (Mark Reaves), Jerome (JoeAnne) Peterson, Karalyn Peterson (Stephen Schultz), Joy Peterson (Randy) Hall; her grandchildren, Elise (Trey) Hurt, Daniel (Allison) Schultz, Karah (Joshua) Schultz Brink, Julia Schultz, Emmalia Schultz, Lucas Schultz, Gabriella Schultz, Liliana Schultz, Mia Lomeli, Shelby Reaves, Cole Reaves, Ethan Hall, Riley Hall, Hudson Hall, Za'Riah Dockery (foster grandchild), and Ky'Leigh Dockery (foster grandchild); her great grandchildren, Sophia Flores, Eva Flores, Jax Hurt, Violet Schultz, Nolan Schultz, Katerina Schultz, and Elliana Schultz-Dixon.
