Obituary of Kathleen Ann Kroeger
Kathleen (Johnson) Kroeger peacefully passed from this life on February 19, 2021, at home with her family and after her long struggle with Alzheimer’s. Kathleen was born on April 18, 1943 to Loren and Francis (Iacono) Johnson in Minneapolis, MN. Kathy graduated from Richfield High with the class of 1961. She worked for Thermo King and Northwest Airlines before marrying Lyle Kroeger in 1963, and then focused on raising a family. Kathy always felt very blessed for her family of three sons, 9 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She said they were God’s gift. Friends were always especially important to Kathy. She belonged to numerous groups including prayer, book readings, birding, prayer shawl knitting, and rosary making. Faith in God has always been of foremost importance to Kathy. She was able to visit many shrines in the United States, traveled to see Pope John Paul when he visited Denver, and traveled to Medjugorje during Easter week of 1993. She is survived by her husband Lyle, Sons Michael & Julie (Ketcham) Kroeger, Mark & Mary (McBroom) Kroeger, Joseph & Juley (Vokovan) Kroeger, Nine Grandchildren and one great grandson. She is proceeded in death by her parents. Kathy left her family many special words but finished with “Pray to God, He loves to hear your words. Remember his favorites are I love you God, I love you Jesus, I Love you Mary. And then she said, “I love everyone”. Mass of Christion Burial will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 At St. Michaels Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Ave SE, Prior Lake, MN 55372 at 11:00AM with visitation 1 hour before mass. Interment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
