Obituary for Athena Helene Ayala (née Schmidlin)

Athena Helene Ayala (née Schmidlin) unexpectedly passed away Friday, January 29th, 2021.  She was born April 6th, 1987, in Carson City, Nevada.  At only 33 year old, Athena was taken from her loved ones far too soon.

She is survived by her husband Jose Walter Ayala, her mother Karen Marty, and her siblings Rhonda Schmidlin, Donald Schmidlin, Jacob Marty (Ashley) and Adam Schmidlin (Makayla).  She is preceded in death by her father Ronald Schmidlin and her younger brother Clint Schmidlin. 

With our love and dedication, Athena’s memory will persevere.  She had an incredibly fiery spirit and could be a bit stubborn from time to time; but, her generosity knew no bounds.  Whether she was expressing opinions, debating positions, or demanding action for the causes she believed in---Athena was always respectful, honest, and passionate.

As a Registered Nurse in Minnesota, Athena improved the lives of those lucky enough to cross her path.  From an early age, she (and everyone around her) knew she had what it took to provide boundless love and excellent care for those in need.  

Athena will be sorely missed.

Please join us for a memorial service from 12:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, February 7th, 2021.  Services will be held at the Cremation Society of Minnesota; 1979 Old Hudson Rd, St Paul, MN 55119.

Athena Helene Ayala (née Schmidlin) falleció inesperadamente el viernes, enero 29, 2021. Ella nació abril 6 del 1987, en Carson City, Nevada. A solo la edad de 33 años, Athena dejó esta vida demasiado pronto.

Ella es sobrevivida por su esposo, José Walter Ayala, su madre, Karen Marty, y sus hermanos, Rhonda Schmidlin, Donald Schmidlin, Jacob Marty (Ashley), y Adam Schmidlin (Makayla). Precedida por su padre, Ronald Schmidlin, y su hermano menor, Clint Schmidlin.

Con nuestro amor y dedicación, Athena’s memoria perseverará. Su personaje vivirá en todas las vidas que ella tocó. Ella tenía un espíritu ardiente, y podía ser un poco obstinada de tiempo a tiempo, pero su generosidad brilló a través de todo. Cuando ella expresaba sus opiniones, posiciones de debate, o demandaba acción por sus causas, Athena siempre era respetuosa, honesta, y apasionada.                                                                                         

Como una enfermera registrada en Minnesota, Athena mejoró las vidas de los que tuvieron suerte en conocerla. Desde una edad pequeña, ella (y todos alrededor de ella) sabían que ella podía dar un amor y cariño sin límites.

 Athena será extrañada mucho.

Están invitados al servicio memorial este domingo, febrero 7 del 2021, de 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. El servicio será en el edificio de la Cremation Society of Minnesota; 1979 Old Hudson Rd, St. Paul, MN 55119.
