Obituary of Thea Annette Ellingson

Thea Annette Ellingson, age 63, passed away on January 23, 2021 at Three Links Reflections in Northfield, MN after a long battle with breast cancer.  Thea was born in Oklahoma City, Ok to Robert and De Lois (Jean) Ellingson.  As a child, she lived in numerous locations before her father retired from the Air Force to Nicollet, Minnesota.  Thea graduated from Gwynn High School, MI in 1975 and attended Mankato State University where she graduated with a degree in Micro Biology.  She embarked upon a successful career in plastics where she traveled extensively to many overseas locations and received patients for several of the products that she developed.  At her passing, she was employed as a Technical Project Engineer at Printpack, Atlanta, GA.  Thea loved animals, working on home improvement projects, and being a mentor to others.  Over the years she was involved with Daisy Girl Scouts, hosted a Foreign Exchange student from Sweden and loved spending time fishing and playing with her pets. Thea was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by two sisters and one brother:  Sharon Schlicher (Todd Leckie), Noble, Oklahoma; Robert (Bob) Ellingson, Jr. (Audrey), San Antonio, TX; and Catherine Ellingson, (Tim Hanson), Eagan, MN. Services have been entrusted to Cremation Society of MN.  (https://cremationsocietyofmn.com) a memorial service will be held at a later date due to COVID safety concerns.  In lieu of flowers the family requests contributing in her memory to a local charity of your choice or Cancer Research, Animal Welfare, or Girl Scouts.
