Jeanne Louise Scheribel George

Age 97, of Friendship Village, Bloomington, Mn died peacefully on January 27, 2021 with her two daughters, Jo Ann and Liz by her side. Jeanne was born August 22, 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Mabel Scheribel, her husband, Clyde (Bill),
son-in-law, Butch Bakken and grandson, Corey Bakken.

Jeanne grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from West High School in 1940 where she met the love of her life, our father, Glyde George. They were married on Christmas Day in 1942 in California while Bill was on 24 hour leave from basic training. They were married for 64 years. They lived in Edina most of their years and also spent winters in Redington Shores, FL. Jeanne moved to Friendship Village in Bloomington, MN in 2008. She made many wonderful friends and very much enjoyed her time there.

She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother to all of us. She was of strong will and mind and we loved that about her. She learned how to use an IPad during covid quarantine and she loved to FaceTime. She would say it was her “lifeline.” She was always interested in what everybody was doing and loved to hear about the grandchildren and great grandchildren. We were so blessed to have her with us for 97 years. She lived a good life and she is now at peace. We miss her dearly.

She is survived by daughters Jo Ann Bakken and Liz (Dan) Brunsvold. Grandchildren Katie (Scott) Firman, Bill (Karin) Shama, Joel (Ann) Shama, Aimee (Jason) Semeleng. Great grandchildren Jack, Max, Louise, Chase, Alyssa, Ethan and Faith.
