Obituary of Bonnie Jean Olson
Bonnie Jean Olson, 80, of Blaine, MN passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Vivian Baker. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Don; daughter Jennifer (John) Boyd; son Scott (Dawn) Little; stepson Todd (Sue) Olson; stepdaughters Cheri Olson and Kae (Scott) Richart; best friend and sister Judy Schelde (Andy Hickey); nephew Mark Schelde; niece Wendy (Todd) Knowler; Grandchildren Josh & Justin Boyd; Kayla, Jacob and Emma Little; Gunner (Lindsey), Kara and Krista Olson; Jenni (Mike) Buckingham and Taylor (Kayla) Richart; Great niece Zoe Schelde; Great Grandchildren Logan and Lyla; many extended family members and numerous lifelong friends.
Bonnie was born and raised in Duluth, MN, graduating from Central High School in 1959. She went on to attend University of MN Duluth from 1959-1961. She moved to Minneapolis and attended the University of Minnesota, where she finished her degree in 1962. In 1983 she earned her women’s health nurse practitioner degree and was an APRN. She worked at Multicare Associates in Fridley, MN for 31 years. Additionally, she worked part time at Nucleus Clinic in Coon Rapids for 30 years. She officially retired from nursing in 2017.
After retirement, Bonnie enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family and for the last 8 years spending their summers at Camp Holiday Resort and Campground in Deerwood, MN. Bonnie was an avid MN Sports fan.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. Due to the pandemic, a private immediate family service will be held 2PM on Thursday, February 4th at Cremation Society Brooklyn Park.
