Obituary of Patricia Slocum-Largent
Patricia (Senarighi) Slocum-Largent, 76, of Duluth passed away from complications of COVID pneumonia at Essentia Health, St. Mary’s Hospital on December 8th, 2020. She was born in Duluth on October 27th, 1944 to Dominic and Ann Senarighi. She attended Denfeld High School.
Her love for children was evident with being a foster “mom” for over 30 year, caring for more than 500 children. She worked many different jobs from bartending at the Tappa Keg, to working as a CNA at various nursing facilities within the Duluth area. She liked to stay busy, so after retiring as a CNA, she volunteered as a driver for Arrowhead Transit. She enjoyed camping with her family and friends at Clearwater Resort where she could spend hours playing cards, dice or socializing. She loved rummage sales, a “good” thrift store and helping with making and drinking wine. She enjoyed eating out, especially at Bridgeman’s for a hotdog or a casino for crab legs. Her biggest passion was her family. She was very proud of all her children, grand and great grandchildren and wished she could have been around to see them all grow up. She cherished spending time with her loving husband Stan, playing a game of cards or dice, but was a “sore” loser. She had a big heart and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Senarighi, and son Joey Slocum.
She is survived by her husband Stanley D. Largent. Sisters: Eve (Conny) Loiselle, Marlene (Bill) Lescenski, Jean Wickerham. Children: Conrad “Jim” (PeggySue) Slocum, Sharri (Keith) Love, Jerry Slocum, Tom (Loralea) Slocum, Alvin (Sarah) Torgerson, Angelica Suliin, Kreytt Slocum, Kanyon (Ari) Slocum, Dean (Cindy) Largent, Scott (Annie) Largent, Glen Largent and Sue Rengo. Grandchildren: Nick, CJ, Daniel, Ashley (Cyrus), Bayley, Aleeshia, Dustin, Kayla, Zach, Kieanna, Fabian, Kyle, Josh, Noah, Hannah, Evan, Amanda (Ryan), Jenny (Ernesto), Brittney (Robert), Branden, Mikayla, Rhiannon, Alyssa, 17 great grandchildren, with one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
Per family, no services to be held at this time, arrangements for a celebration of life will be in the Spring, 2021. Arrangements by Cremation Society of Duluth.
