Obituary of Carol Ann (Lamkin) Mategko

Carol Ann (Lamkin) Mategko passed away on Thursday, December 3rd, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Carol was born on December 21, 1940 to Ida (Granmoe) Schmidt and Herbert Lamkin. She graduated from Proctor High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Schmidt and sister, Joyce Rossiter.

Carol is survived by the love of her life, husband Richard Mategko, daughter, Cindy (Glenn) McTavish-Misgen and son, Donald (Lisa) Kozlovski; her grandchildren, Sister Teresa Mary Kozlovski, RSM, MD, Daniel (Sabrina Bunnell) McTavish, Michael (Cidne) Kozlovski and Nick Richard; and her great-grandchildren; sisters, April Earls, Linda (Gerry) Ridgely, and Bonnie Kennedy.

Carol spread her love of life always with a big smile, great sense of humor, and warmth. She loved spending time at the lake fishing, and enjoying “happy hour” with her many friends. She was above all a devoted mother and wife. She was grateful to have one of the best Health Care workers in Pat. We want to give a big thank-you to everyone who helped care for Carol and giving her so much love. Due to Covid, there will not be a service.
