Elizabeth Hannon

Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Hannon

Hannon, Elizabeth Jane "Lisa" (nee Ruble) Resident of St. Anthony, passed away January 15th at the age of 55. Lisa is survived by her husband of 25 years, Don, sons Ben and Sam, parents Carolyn and Ken Ruble (Venice, FL), sister Laurie (Skip) Mathews (Seattle), brother Doug (Wendy) Ruble (Minnetonka), as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Lisa loved them all. Lisa was a beautiful child of God, much loved by all who knew her. She was so thoughtful and funny. She never forgot special days and always sent cards guaranteed to be entertaining and memorable. Co-workers appreciated her friendliness, warmth, efficiency and sense of responsibility. Despite the strong Finnish sisu running through her veins and repeated efforts to get well, she succumbed to the disease of alcoholism. How we will miss our vivacious and beautiful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who brought so much joy into our lives. Due to corona concerns, no public memorial service is planned at this time. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff, nurses, aides and all the other members of Our Lady of Peace Home in St Paul, who provided such loving care for Lisa during her last months of life. These are the saints who walk among us. Also, many thanks to the Hazel Girls for their concern and support for Lisa over the years. Memorials may be directed to OLPH, the Salvation Army or an organization of your choice.
