Obituary of Shirley R. Arison

Shirley R. Arison, Age 85

Went to be with the Lord Friday, December 18, 2020

 

Shirley was a practicing RN for many years.  In addition to her nursing, she loved to knit.  She turned her love of knitting into a ministry called "Giving Hands."  Along with many other ladies in the ministry, thousands of pairs of gloves, hats, and scarves have been worn by Children's Orphanage kids in the Ukraine.  She also loved to camp with family and friends, gave of her time helping at Trout Lake Camp, and really loved her ice cream!

 

Shirley had a strong faith in Jesus and a servants heart.  In recent years, at McKenna Crossing, her "Jesus Joy" became

contagious.  Staff said that they will miss her smiling face and great hugs.  She will be greatly missed by all her many family and friends.

 

Due to Covid 19, family will celebrate her life at a later date and there will be a private internment at Fort Snelling.  She will

be laid to rest with her late husband, John E. Arison, at Fort Snelling.

 

Survivors include 3 daughters: Debra (Jim) Selvy, Sandra (Rick) Watke, and Barbara (Doyle) Voss, 9 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
