Obituary of Warren Christy

Christy, Warren

Warren Christy was born in Minneapolis on March 12, 1946, to Dorothy Day Christy and William J. Christy. He grew up in South Minneapolis, graduating from Minneapolis Central in 1964. In the army he was stationed in Okinawa working at the base radio station. Upon his return, he taught radio journalism at North High School.

Warren passed away from Covid-19 on Dec. 29, 2020, at M Health Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis. Anxiously waiting to welcome Warren were his parents; his beloved sister, Kay; and an abundance of much-loved pets.

In addition to his wide circle of friends, Warren is survived by Kay’s twin Carol; and godchildren Justin, Allison, Victoria and Michael. His current pets are being lovingly cared for by dedicated friends hand-picked by Warren.
