Obituary of Edward R. Eck

Edward R. Eck, age 81, passed away suddenly at Heritage Haven Assisted Living on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. Edward was born in 1939 in Duluth, MN and was a 1958 graduate of Denfeld High School.

Edward spent nearly 30 years working for Minnesota Power as a foreman at the Thomson Hydro Station in Jay Cooke State Park. He had a love of cars and enjoyed building two street rods, going to car shows, and spending time with his car buddies. He was a member of MSRA and NSRA. Edward also loved spending time with his family and friends, including meeting his buddies for coffee in Carlton. He was resident of Esko, MN for 33 years.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marie Eck and son, Ronald Eck.

Edward is survived by his wife, LaVonne; brothers, Rolland (Colleen) Eck and Rodney Eck; daughters, Sheryl (Paul) Conley, Laurie (Fred) Puglisi, Amy (Mark) Patenaude, Julie (Chad) DuBois; grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) Conley, Robyn Conley, Katie Conley, Samantha (Kevin) Grove, Frank Puglisi, Nicole Puglisi, Carla (Mark) Fermenich, Amber Eck (Bob Lindstrom), Lauren DuBois, and Zack DuBois; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A special thank you to the staff at Heritage Haven for providing great care and keeping him safe.

A private family-only service will be held.
