Obituary of Michael Leif Mickelson
Mike Mickelson (53) of Fergus Falls, MN passed away January 7, 2021 at M Health hospital in Minneapolis. Mike was troubled by mental illness for many years, yet walked with love and light for others, always making us laugh, bursting into song, and ready with the dad jokes. His laugh could fill a stadium. Mike always had great stories and a great voice to tell those stories. Words were so captivating and eloquent coming from his lips. Facebook friends were treated to many a meme or witty pun. The words couldn't help but be heard in his deep, baritone voice that had that ever present jovial tone. Mike's love for performing will continue to live on in the recordings of his performances with A Center For The Arts in Fergus Falls and his podcasts, never to lose their power and energy. His light and love and voice will echo on and resonate in our lives. Preceded in death by parents, Judy Mickelson and Harry (Mick) Mickelson, Grandparents Leif & Dorothy Amundsen and 'Doc' Mickelson. Survived by cherished wife Angie; loved daughters Lucy and Cheyenne; adoring sister Shelly Jackson; nephews Cody & Cordero; and by siblings Don McGothlin (Mary), Barry Mickelson, Kelly (Mickelson) Larson (Rick), Melody Edwards (Rodger), Melissa King; and nieces and nephews; in-laws Dale and Evelyn Rogers, Patti Rogers, nephews and niece Braedy, Sara, and Owen; aunts, uncles, and many cousins. A memorial gathering will be planned for later this year. In lieu of memorials or flowers, please consider donations to A Center For The Arts in FergusFalls.
