Obituary of Jack Elis Luukkonen

Jack was a lifelong resident of Virginia, MN.

Following a 4 year stint in the USAF, Jack returned to Virginia and had a long career with Virginia Water and Light. Jack was an avid downhill and cross country skier. He was a longtime member of the Northern Club.

He was preceded in death by his mother Helen and his father Vaino Luukkonen.

He is survived by his sister Judith (Sandy) Welles of Reno, NV, niece Liz Welles of Bozeman, MT, and Ryan Welles of Duluth. Jack also leaves behind many friends in Virginia, Pike Township, and Duluth.

Jack was a quiet and kind man with a great sense of humor and was a man of very few words. He will be missed. 

His family would like to thank his friends at Heritage Haven in Duluth, who gave Jack wonderful care in his last few years. We are very grateful.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
