Obituary of Steven James Bleichner
Steven James Bleichner, age 68, of Lakeville died 12/20/20. Steve is survived by his wife Sue (Broz) of 46 years and his daughters; Melissa (Cisco), Kristy (Nathan) and Katie. He was the beloved Popsie to Pierce, Nila , Alex and Ben.
Steve was most proud of his three daughters and four grandkids. He taught them to fly rockets, fish, and build pine wood derby cars, race radio-controlled cars and appreciate nature. He enjoyed his diet cola so much that the grandkids named him, "Popsie". It was a title he adored. Steve had a great love for his pets. Steve was an incredibly gifted woodworker despite being legally blind. He created cars, cutting boards and coaster sets to donate to the MNZoo and CDLC preschool to raise money for them. Steve was a popular speaker at preschools and elementary schools to explain about living a full life with blind adaptations. He impacted so many lives. Steve's frequent telephone calls were his way to show he loved and cared about you.
Due to Covid, a celebration of Steve's life will be planned at a later date. Please write down your favorite memories of Steve to share with his family and email to teechur89@hotmail.com or leave a comment on this site or mail to the family. Steve was six weeks short of celebrating 27 years with his working transplanted kidney and pancreas.
