Obituary of David Anthony Brau

David Anthony Brau, 78, of Marshall, MN, died peacefully at his home on December 1, 2020 with his wife by his side.

Dave was born January 14th, 1942 at his family farm in Lucan, MN to Carl and Francis (Staddick) Brau.  He graduated from Wabasso High School in 1961.  In September 1961, he married his wife Connie Schmidt in Redwood Falls, MN.  He spent most of his career working as a maintenance man. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, reading and watching westerns and telling jokes and playing pranks.  He loved wildlife and in his later years, loved watching the deer come up to the house and watching all the birds come and go from the birdfeeders.

Dave is survived by his wife Connie of 59 years, sons Larry Brau of Woodlake, MN and Todd (Mark Chiang) Brau of Bothell, WA; daughter Joy (Dave) Davenport of Waconia, MN; his sister Helen Marotzke of Marshall, MN, along with several nieces, nephews and relatives.  He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Francis; his sister Joan Lange and brothers-in-law Jim Lange and Kenny Marotzke.
