Obituary of James Patrick Whitaker

Whitaker, James Patrick (Jim), age 58 of Eagan, MN. Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. Passed away suddenly on November 25, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents James and Charlotte; brother Michael; and nephew John Michael. Survived by loving wife of 22 years Emelie; children by marriage Melissa Thompson (Andy) and William (Bill) Sperl; grandchildren Lucas, Callum, and Daphne; sisters Sandra (Shel) Kenyon, Cathy (Brad) Manos, Mary (Fred) Hosch; brother John (Kim); and nieces and their children. Jim was a beloved husband, stepdad, grandpa, and brother who loved gathering friends and family for meals; traveling the world; being in the outdoors; fishing; and his beloved cats. Jim made us smile and laugh, and he will be forever in our hearts.
