Obituary of Olive F. Nelson

Olive F. Nelson, age 91, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2020 at Keystone Bluffs. Olive was born on November 30, 1928 in Colfax, Washington. She graduated from Denfeld High School in 1946. Olive married the love of her life, Dean Nelson, in 1949 and they enjoyed 70 wonderful years together and raised three children.

Olive worked at Glass Block for several years. She enjoyed decorating, working in her flower gardens and traveling.

Olive is survived by her sister, Carol Nauheimer; children, Linda Nelson of St. Louis Park and Randy (Karen) Nelson of Duluth; three grandchildren, Adam Nelson, James (Anne) Bremer, and Eric (Rose) Bremer; and six great-grandchildren, Drew & Dawson, Grace & Henry, Kayden & Jasper. Olive was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean; and daughter, Terri; parents, Clarence and Edith Stocke; sister, Betty Veillet; brothers, Dick and Jerry Stocke.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the wonderful and caring staff at Keystone Bluffs. Olive will be sadly missed by all.

Olive’s family will hold a private gathering at a later date. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Minnesota Duluth.
