Obituary of Gerald Elder Plaisted

Gerald Elder Plaisted, 87, of Duluth, Minnesota, died peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by his family on November 20, 2020.

Gerald (Jerry) is survived by his partner, Dorrie Lake, son Wade (Ruth) Plaisted, daughters Mindy and Brenda Paisted, Grandchildren Dawn and Dustin Plaisted, Sean (Genet) Gaskell, Cody (Rayanna) Gaskell, Amanda (Calvin) Goettl. Great grandchildren, Dawson, Bexley, Liam, and Aurelia, brother Russell (Dorothy) Plaisted, neices, nephews and so many amazing friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elder and Genevieve, and sister Shirley Barber. Jerry was the most loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend that anyone could ask for.

Jerry’s passion was hunting, fishing, playing cards, hanging with friends and family. He enjoyed socializing with his many friends at Mr. D’s and watching the Vikings. He loved spending his winters in Arizona with more amazing friends riding his bike, swimming, dancing and playing bocce ball.

Jerry was a very respected business man, running Stretar Masonry for over 50 years until he passed on his legacy in 2000.
