Brad Pekkala

Obituary of Brad Leslie Pekkala

Brad Leslie Pekkala, age 56 of Duluth MN passed away peacefully at home on November 23, 2020. He was born on November 15, 1964 to Robert and Arlene (Maki) Pekkala. He graduated from Denfeld High School and Pipestone Vocational College. Brad worked as a welder, machinist and fabricator. He worked for DelZotto Manufacturing, Driveline Specialists, and at home. He was a caring, loving man, and was loved by all who knew him. He taught his children and many of their friends, skills they will use for a lifetime. He always had a fun sense of humor, enjoying anything with a motor on it. He spent many years enjoying snowmobiling, boating, camping and being in his garage fixing things. If there wasn’t a tool to use he’d make one to get a job done. Many knew him as Punker, B-Rad and Bawcko (grandkid’s name for him when they couldn’t say Grandpa).

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Todd Pekkala. Brad is survived by his wife Jean (Colsen); daughter Nicolle (Dan) Baker; sons Zachary and Chad Pekkala; grandchildren Andrew, Cecilia, Amelia and Adeline Baker, Samantha and Jessica Sandberg.

A remembrance service will be held at a later date. Rest in peace Brad. Love, your family and friends.
