Jeff and I enjoyed working with Laurie and Scott during Sanctus Marriage Enrichment years with all the other Sanctus Team Members. One of the nicest, happiest couples anyone would ever like to meet. I also worked as a Councilor with Laurie, Steve Wiese and the other councilors for about 6 years.
Most recent thing: I know, through Carol Henry, about Laurie’s heart surgery. Like me, Laurie’s heart, valve, and lung events, are rare and often very unpredictable. Only the Lord knows who survives these things and who He decides to take home. Comforting to me during this was how close and comforting is our Lord. Not much fear.
Scott and family, may God comfort you through your grief. Always. Jeff and Carol Notto

I just now heard the news of my dear dear friend's passing. My heart is broken, and she was such a faithful prayer partner through all of our years at IBM and beyond and through so many trials and so many praises for healing. I am so very grateful for her love and compassion during my husband's illnesses and I knew she covered us with prayers through it all. She was a brilliant mind, a tenacious and loving "sister" to me, and one who loved her family more than anything. I always said that our paths crossed for a purpose those many decades ago and I am such a better person sharing this lifetime with her. Sending strength, prayers, peace, and love to her family at this very difficult time.

Loved serving with her in Alpha! She was very dedicated to us, her husband, her family and those she served. Praying for her family during this time. She IS walking the streets of Gold, young and free! May she give her family some hellos to let them know she is with her Heavenly Father❤️

We lost a mighty prayer warrior,
Laurie and I were friends for 20 years, we met through North Heights church at the Alpha course. We became fast friends, she was my sister and best friend, she helped me to become a better person, stronger in my faith and as a person. We would close restaurants talking about our love for the Lord and family, Laurie loved her husband Scott so much, her Son Tony, her daughter Angel where her whole world. She had a special place in her heart for her Granddaughter Savannah and her Grandson Alex. She was so thankful for her mothers’ support and loved her deeply.
She was an amazing lady, she had a faith so strong that being with her you knew everything was going to be alright, those who knew her were bless. She became a Counselor; she had a heart for the lost and broken.
She taught me to say NO, and was surprised when I used it on her, we prayed, laughed, cried, did ministry together. We brought out the best in each other, Even when we lost touch for a time, it was like we never missed a beat. I will never forget you; I will always love you; I will always have you in my heart, I know I will see you in heaven one day.

I enjoyed spending time with Laurie and her granddaughter Savanna. We would go on outings with my niece who was the same age. Laurie had such strong love for her granddaughter and was incredibly caring and sensitive.
She was loved by all who knew her and we will miss her so much.

I enjoyed sitting by Door B and hearing from Laurie about her family, her excitement in being a grandmother and her life stories. We met at Alpha NHeights and in prayer rooms. Most recently 6 years ago she took me to get my nails done the week before my wedding, and gave me a ride in her convertible. We will miss her quiet and depth in wisdom. She will I believe be made aware of her family as years pass, God is infinitely good. Love to you all.

I knew Laurie as a colleague on the IBM CSC Brazil team in Recife. Her faith and counsel was a blessing to me. When I lost my IBM job due to layoffs, she took the time to write me a personal recommendation letter. There's not too many people nowadays who would do that. Thank you Laurie for being a heartfelt colleague and friend. Your eternity is now and enjoy your new walk with Jesus.
