To Wayne’s family
Like Jack Ayers post I too played in Wayne’s band at Stout. Had it not been for Wayne I probably would have never been able to live my dream of playing in a band. With Wayne’s perfect pitch and patience he was able to teach me 30 plus great rock and roll dance songs. I will never forget Wayne!!!!

Just found out today that a dear friend has passed away. Wayne and I went to high school and college together. He was a great guy and lots of fun times with him studying and classes. I am so glad we got to see each other again after a long time. My daughter had a bonfire in her back yard in St. Paul, and Wayne and wife were able to come. It was fun reminiscing and laughing around the fire. I will miss him. Gone too soon. RIP dear Wayne!

I never met Wayne in person. Our relationship was over the phone. Wayne persuaded me to introduce his sign panel product to the National Park Service where I was the coordinator of outdoor exhibit production. Over the years I turned away many products and had a high threshold for what was acceptable. Wayne's product proved excellent but what really enabled him to get my attention was his gentlemanly approach. I feel privileged to have worked with Wayne over the years. He was honorable, no nonsense, knew what he was talking about and always left me feeling uplifted. He was a rare individual. MY condolences to his family. He must have been a great father and husband.

Our deepest condolences go out to Wayne and Meg's family. I had the blessing of working closely with Wayne the last 3 years as a production designer at Gopher Sign. He had many great visions that I would work out the manufacturing details for to help make them a reality. We spent countless hours on the phone, working up bids for our cherished customers. He always had time to catch up on life happenings after the work was done. I regret not having the pleasure to meet him in person, but I feel that we had developed a deep relationship built over the years. So many things left undone, but I know he will look down and be proud to see his work has carried on. The passion and dedication that he brought to the company has set the benchmark high. I will always keep him in my thoughts, and continue to build upon his ImageLOC product legacy in his honor. I look forward to attending his celebration this summer, and get the opportunity to hear and share many more memories. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolences to Wayne's family and good thoughts to all his friends and coworkers. I started with a business connection with Wayne through Gopher Signs and that quickly became a friendship. Wayne was a natural people person. Once the shop talk was complete, we both looked forward to hearing about one another's worlds. It was a big surprise when he showed up at Biscayne National Park visitor center with Meg. All smiles and thrilled to be out exploring. Great guy with loads of patience for new clients. Sad to hear the news. He deserves his own full color, image loc, memorial exhibit for sure.

We have many fond memories of times spent with Meg and Wayne. One of our favorites was when we met them in Glacier National Park and hiked the Highline-Swiftcurrent pass. It took us an entire day but we did not grow tired of it. The sun was shining and we enjoyed the awesome views, the stories told, the laughter, and the friends we shared it with. We are grateful to have know Wayne and will miss him. We are keeping Meg and the family in our thoughts.

My thoughts go out to Wayne's family. I worked with Wayne as a client of his at Gopher Graphics. He helped me develop exterior signs for the Missouri Department of Conservation. I loved talking with Wayne and we bonded over vacationing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He was so thoughtful and always took the time to make sure we had everything that we needed. I will miss our chats.

We're stunned and saddened by this news. Wayne was such a shining light professionally and personally. He was incredibly knowledgeable, generous with his time and expertise, kind and good-natured. He was just as eager to share news about the latest sign technology as share news about his family and recent forays to the cabin. Wayne lived life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed.

I met Wayne in the early days of ImageLoc sign development - we were booth neighbors at a trade show, and happy to learn we both worked for Twin Cities based companies. Over the years I was excited to see the success of the signage system he and Gopher developed, and happy to be able to order a few signs for the Pollinator Hillside here at the MN History Center. Wayne was always a pleasure to talk to, and a patient and knowledgeable salesperson. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, my condolences to his wife and family.

What a trusted expert in his field and a wonderful guy. Wayne will be missed. I first came to know him through his work with the Science Museum of Minnesota, long ago, when Mark Odegard was head of the graphics department and I was a designer. Years passed and we recently met up again at a SEGD conference. It was great to see him again. He and Mark had remained friends and so we could share stories. He introduced me to a few new graphic products and techniques and helped me on a project after that. I'm sorry to see a grassroots operation lose its founder, but hope his innovative team will carry on.

I am SO VERY SORRY to hear of Wayne's passing! You all have my deepest sympathy! I didn't personally know Wayne but worked with him to get this beautiful sign for our Pat's Grove in our Cottonwood County Park here West of Windom in SW Minnesota. I emailed him 1000 times it seemed like and the poor man dealt with me being a newbie on how to go about the ordering of such a beautiful history marker. He was always so nice to work with, through all this covid crap this past year. I want to extend my sympathies to everyone at Gopher Signs and to Waynes family. I'm sad even though I've never met Wayne, he was very nice to me.
God bless you Wayne! I will miss our conversations as I try to do one history marker per year from Gopher Signs for all our Cottonwood County Parks.

Condolences to Wayne's wife, family, and friends. I only knew Wayne via business phone calls and it was easy to tell what a nice and passionate man Wayne was. Wayne would sometimes call just to see how you were doing without ever mentioning business. He will be missed by his contacts at Los Angeles County Parks, and his contributions will be appreciated by many people for a long time to come.

I knew Wayne for over 20 years, both as a colleague and friend. I don’t know if he realized what an impact he made on me, as well as others I’m sure. His passion for his work, big heart and integrity was evident, and I feel lucky to have known him. My sincere condolences to his family. May you rest in peace, Wayne.

Condolences to Meg and family from Bob and Dianne Asproth. I do remember a lifetime of infrequent meetings with my cousin Wayne. Mostly family reunions among and Asproths and Voigtschilds where Wayne and Jerry would sing. I remember attending his wedding with Meg in an Apple Valley park. I remember visiting his parents in Wisconsin and Arizona over the years. I remember our family connections to the USAF. RIP.

I grew up on a farm in Wisconsin where I remember fondly our family singing together in wonderful music harmonies. Wayne was the second oldest of my two big brothers. Now Wayne and my oldest brother Jerry sang together like the Everly Brothers. Although younger by ten years plus, I remember the farm as a fun place hanging out with my sister and brothers while they did the daily chores helping mom and dad milk cows, raise pigs, tend chickens, and do fieldwork raising crops of oats, corn, and hay to feed the livestock. Wayne excelled in music and academics so after high school, he was off to college. I always looked up to Wayne as he set goals and worked hard to achieve them like forming a band that enabled him to pay for school. When our dad died in 1982, I was able to take leave from the U.S. Air Force and meet up with my brothers, sister, and mom for the funeral. It was then my brothers and I discovered we could sing three-part harmony on church hymns we had grown up with like “Old Rugged Cross.” I treasure those rich memories and time shared over the years at family gatherings where we continued to sing such as in 1989, when Wayne, Jerry, and I sang “Behold God” by Harvest at my daughter Kathy’s baptism. This past year, Wayne made time for weekly video chats with me and my sister always lending his wisdom, laughter, and support to help and encourage us. Wayne made a positive difference in my life and I will forever be grateful.

Wayne and I met over 25 years ago through a group called Corporate Alliance. Our relationship grew over the years as I learned what a quality guy that Wayne was. We shared some common clients together and I was always impressed with the sincerity and hands-on approach Wayne gave to each of his clients.
My wife, Lori, and I came to be friends with Wayne and Meg, enjoying dinner from time to time and even a Wild game. I loved hearing the stories Wayne would share on the travels that he and Meg shared together.....State Parks, etc. Wayne and Meg clearly lived life to the fullest from my perspective and they are a good example on how we should each explore and enjoy this world we live in.
I invited Wayne to join a monthly business group that I formed about 7 years ago and we all enjoyed him so much. Sadly, I was just thinking of Wayne less than a week before his passing. It had been several months since we last talked and I wanted to re-connect. Well, I guess I won't be seeing Wayne again on this earthly plain, but I look forward to talking again when we meet up on the heavenly plain!! Wayne will surely be missed by many.
God bless Wayne, Meg and their family. Sending prayers, thoughts and love your way!!!
