I’m sorry it took so long for me to find this. I worked for Bev in GC. She urged me to go off and get my master’s. That mentoring and kindness took me down a road to my doctorate, a faculty position. Forever grateful that she changed my trajectory.

I knew Bev for over 52 years, she was my mentor and dearest friend. I am who I am and I owe a lot of my success to her. She encouraged me, supported me, and believed in me. I went to college because of her encouragement, something I would've never done had I not met her. She helped me to be a community organizer and the leader in my community that I am today. We lost a very special individual in our world, she was loving and giving and fun to be with. My heart aches and I truly truly will miss her but I will always remember the great memories we shared together over the past 52 years!
