Obituary of Estella L Farmer

Estella L. Farmer passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 78. She was a resident of Mainstreet Village Retirement and Aurora on France Vibrant Senior Living and Care.

She was born on January 17, 1942 in the Baldwyn, MS.   She was the loving daughter of Centhia A. Stricklin and E. Lemuel Siggers.

Estella earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Media and Voice from Metro State University in St. Paul, MN in 1995.  She worked for the State of Minnesota for 30 years in administrative and analyst roles.  Prior to the State, she worked in the academic, retail and health care industries.

She also was a long-time congregant at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington, MN and Oakland United Methodist Church in Minneapolis, MN.

Estella had a great passion for learning and her life’s walk with Jesus Christ.  She enjoyed shopping, especially, anything from designer Bob Mackie, QVC / HSN on 5-pay for jewelry, handbags and Lennox collectibles.  And, of course, she loved to wear her CROWNS (hats)!   Other areas of enjoyment included Word Search / Word Finds puzzles, coloring books for adults, cooking fried chicken and spending time with family and friends.  Her son Harold Jr. was her (precious) pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Charlie and Centhia Warren, and parents, E. Lemuel Siggers and Centhia A. Stricklin.

Estella is survived by her son, Harold Farmer, Jr. (Shirelyn Birdwell), cousins and many lifelong friends.
