Obituary of Lawrence Joseph Kuberra
Lawrence Joseph Kuberra, age 81, of Duluth passed away peacefully on October 19, 2020.
Larry was born February 12, 1939 in Duluth to Tony and Vickie (Jago) Kuberra. Larry grew up in Duluth and graduated from Duluth Cathedral High School in 1957.
He proudly entered into the service of the United States Navy in 1958 and was honorably discharged with the Good Conduct Medal in 1962. Larry worked for General Electric throughout his career as an office manager.
Larry married Joan Oswald in 1961 and together they raised three sons in Duluth. Larry was an avid outdoorsman. He taught the boys to hunt, fish, golf and instilled in them a love and respect for the outdoors. He was also an avid sports fan. He spent many years enjoying watching his sons play hockey from their younger years at Glen Avon rink through high school and beyond.
Larry is survived by his wife, Joan; sons, John, Michael (Lisa) and Scott (Nancy); three grandchildren, Margaret (Jordan) Spencer, Emalee (Andrew) Morem and Nicole Kuberra; two great-grandchildren, Elia and Zachary Morem; sister, Mary (Paul) Berg; sister-in-law, Sandie Kuberra. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
The family would like to thank St. Luke’s Hospice and the staff at Waterview Shores for their gentle, kind, and loving care. We are grateful. No services are scheduled at this time.
