Obituary of Glenna Lee Bennett

Glenna Lee Bennett, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2020 at Edgewood Vista in Hermantown. She was born November 21, 1931 in Cloquet, where she was also raised. She graduated in 1950 from Cloquet High School. She enjoyed her younger years at her dad’s resort on Big Lake.

She was a “Stay At Home Mom” while raising her four sons. She later worked for the Proctor School District serving lunches when she became another mother to many students. She was a member of United Lutheran Church in Proctor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Helen Cary, Glenn and Myrtle Cary; and her brother, Gene.

Glenna is survived by her children, Bruce (Debbie), Gary (Sandy), Wade and Ross; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

We would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Vista Memory Care for all the kindness to Glenna and also a special thanks to Amanda with Caring Bridge Hospice.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
